Volume 1: Produced by DJ Muggs, made with samples from Sun Ra. The only name that fit it was that of the landmark book by the great jazz drummer Art Taylor. Muggs complimented Chris’s wine with music that Egon sourced from the landmark catalog of the cosmic jazz musician Sun Ra, with all samples cleared by his Estate. A Soul Assassins x Now-Again collaboration.
Volume 2: The second vintage of Notes & Tones continues where the first album – all based on Sun Ra samples - left off: Muggs’ deep dive into Gene Perla’s PM Records catalog of jazz’s wide reach, for your sensory exploration beyond the palate. The record was produced by DJ Muggs of Soul Assassins and readied for release by Egon of Now-Again Records, who oversees PM Records historic label and catalog. 150 colored vinyl and 350 black vinyl records made.
