THE STORY: This is an Italian inspired rosé that has deeper color and vibrant acidity and fruit - making it very versatile. This is a Rosato to enjoy in every season of the year. It balances deep fruits with a slight savory yet bright structure that makes it an easy pairing for food. The Rosato is 100% Montepulciano this year. We immediately footstomped the grapes as they arrived to the winery, then gently pressed the Montepulciano grapes into stainless tank to naturally ferment for a few weeks. We moved the wine to age in concrete tank for seven months where it developed into this special wine. The Montepulciano grapes come from Fox Hill, our certified organic vineyard growing on the Talmage Benchland sitting above the Russian River in Mendocino County.

TASTING NOTES: Strawberry, Watermelon Agua Fresca and Cherry Lime.

FUN FACT: We were inspired to make a Rosato from Montepulciano at Fox Hill, as one of our favorite styles of wines to drink is Cerasuolo. A rosato from the Abruzzo region of Italy using Montepulcino grapes.
