Pulled from the cellar to show how beautifully Michael Mara Chardonnay develops with time. Even with some bottle age, this is a wine you can continue to cellar and watch evolve over the next several years. Michael Mara has been part of Broc since our first vintage in 2010. The cool marine air and rocky soils of this Sonoma Coast site give the Chardonnay bright acidity and a mineral character that helps it age gracefully.
The grapes were whole-cluster pressed and naturally fermented in Stockinger Austrian oak puncheons, then aged on the lees for 10 months. With time in bottle, the wine develops more depth and texture while maintaining the freshness and acidity that make Michael Mara so age-worthy.
