THE STORY:  A deeper, more generous take on Italian rosé. Rosato, for us, is an all-season wine with a little more color, depth, and structure while staying bright, fresh, and easy to drink. This is a fun rosato that balances deep fruits with a slight savory structure that makes it an easy pairing for food. We immediately footstomped and after 36 hours on the stems gently pressed into concrete tanks to age for 8 months. Montepulciano thrives in longer growing seasons, allowing time for the seeds and skins to fully ripen alongside sugar development. This makes Fox Hill Vineyard an ideal home for the variety. Our certified organic vineyard sits on the Talmage Benchland above the Russian River in Mendocino, where the combination of warm days, cool nights, and well-drained soils allows Montepulciano to develop depth, freshness, and balance.

FUN FACTMontepulciano the town has no link to Montepulciano the grape. The grape is actually from the region Abruzzo.
