THE STORY: A fun Fox Hill Vineyard blend that drinks like an adult punch. Easy and thirst-quenching, this is a refreshing red that you can also serve slightly cool. The Montepulciano was destemmed and given a short maceration, then foot treaded and left on the skins for three days with daily punch downs before being gently pressed. Then the light red was blended with whole cluster, gently pressed Vermentino to bring brightness, freshness, and lift while keeping the playful Ayay! style we love. The blend was then fermented and aged in concrete for eight months, preserving its vibrant fruit, energy, and lively character. It’s fun. It’s fresh. Chill it down and it won’t last long.
FUN FACT: The wine is inspired by the song Cuccurucucu by Franco Battiato, an Italian composer and pop singer. There is a verse in the song where he belts out “Ayay!, Ayay!, Ayay!” and it embodies the fun energy and pure enjoyment this wine has.
