Amore Rosso is our nod to old-school classic Italian red table wine. This vintage blends mostly Barbera and Dolcetto, co-fermented as both a red and a rosato, with a small amount of Lagrein added for structure. The Barbera/Dolcetto red co-ferment was destemmed, then gently pressed to age in neutral barrique. The rosato co-ferment was foot-stomped as whole clusters, left on the skins for 5 days, then fermented and aged separately in stainless tank after a gentle press. Best served with a meal, especially anything with tomatoes, though it holds its own solo too.
