Love Red is the everyday, anytime California red wine we love to make as a showcase of old heritage vines that produce amazing fruit. This vintage takes a new direction with a blend built around Carignan, Syrah, Grenache Gris, Valdiguié &Trousseau Noir bringing together bright fruit, lively acidity, and a little more depth and structure than past releases while keeping the wine light on its feet. Harvested early to preserve natural acidity and vibrancy, each variety was fermented separately using native yeasts in a mix of stainless steel, concrete, and neutral French oak before blending.

FUN FACT: Love Red keeps many old vines planted in California, having a home every year at Broc in this blend.

Our Love Collection showcases California’s best organically farmed and unsung grape varieties at an affordable price. All Broc Cellar wines are made using spontaneous fermentation, which means only native yeasts and bacteria that exist on the grapes are used to make wine. We don’t add anything – this includes nutrients, yeast, bacteria, enzymes, tannins or other popular fermentation agents. Sulphur is a naturally occurring element in all wine, the amount found can vary. Sulphur is never added during fermentation and aging. We add little to no S02 at bottling, depending on the wine, year and style.

Pairing Suggestions
A wine of trickery on the palate - can be chilled and can be paired to be lighter with something spiced like Indian samosas. Treat it like a medium bodied wine and pair with something we make at home called Shaking Beef from Slanted Door's cookbook.
