Corteza Vineyard
Corteza Vineyard is a family-owned and managed vineyard located in Contra Costa Country’s historic town of Knightsen just northeast of our Berkeley winery and along the Sacramento Delta. We first began sourcing their Grenache Noir in 2021. The Grenache Noir vines were planted in 1991 in the clay loam soils. Vineyard owner Artemio Cortez purchased the vineyard in 2015 and with a young family of five, he is committed to organic farming practices that support a healthy environment.
Broc has harvested grapes from Corteza since 2020, beginning with Grenache Noir. Currently we focus on Grenache Blanc, which goes into our Love White.
